Hangar O

Just want to start by saying the grounds are beautiful. The owners have done a great job with the set up and nice and clean grounds. This is my 3rd stay at Hangar0 and each time we go the owners seem more rude and un-welcoming and this time it really did feel like they are over it and they hate all kids apart from their 1 child. No smile on check in when I arrived and introduced myself to the female owner just straight into saying there is to be no jumping or splashing at the pool which is fair to an extent. She then let me know that all kids have actually been banned but they were honoring bookings , I wish they had said something before I showed up as I wouldn't have come , I would have gone somewhere else for the school holidays. The lady came down to the pool and told the kids off because there was water on the concrete and she was watching them in the cameras, I have videos of the kids in the pool and they weren't bomb diving in or splashing out of control , its a pool at the end of the day kids are going to be walking up and down the pool , playing games and hopping in and out of the pool. We were also then told when people get their massages on site we must be quite. Now we came to a camp ground over the school holidays not to a monk retreat and I have also payed close to $200 to stay on a patch of dirt so being told to be quiet and to only do laps in the pool as that was what it was designed for yet you have a slide in the pool and about 20 minutes before the lady came down the male owner actually jumped in the pool in front of the kids. There was no vibe there and we felt like we were walking on egg shells the whole time and felt very much that they didn't want us there but were happy to take our money. It costs nothing to greet your guests with a smile and say hi welcome to the park. I've spent about $1000 visiting this place in the past year a bit. I would rather have put the money to a different camp site that appreciates your business. Rude entitled owners really did camp the fun vibe. That's just my opinion and experience which I'm entitled to voice before the owner jumps all over me.

Stayed there at Easter time, was quite excited to check out a new campground. As we drove in my Daughter decided to check the Google reviews, Oh where we surprised with all of the comments about how they dislike children. Within a couple of hours of being there, the blonde woman, Whatever her name is, but a typical Karen. Came down to police swimming pool, immediately as we got there. She turned the water slide off. She walked in and told us it was now closed for today. She also knew the child I was with wasn’t mine and told her mum would have to pay a fine if there was water outside of the pool. She then told us what time it would be open till the next day, We went down with an hour to spare before it closed, and she came down and turned it off again an hour early. When we called to complain her husband said that they were going to run out of power and sorry it’s getting turned off early today. This woman just leaves a sour taste in your mouth. You do not feel welcome at all and definitely not down at the pool. Feels like you are intruding on private property We also ran out of hot water after the first night in our ‘luxury tent’ so we had no warm water the next night. If a business can’t store enough power or have enough water for the facilities they offer then my suggestion would be don’t run a camp ground. I’d rather sleep in regular tent for $12 a night then the hundreds of dollars we spent there. Not worth it, wish we looked at the reviews before paying.

So disappointed. Lovely location and lovely facilities however the whole vibe of the place is weird. Unfriendly and unaccommodating owners. We felt like we were always being watched. We thought it was just us until other guests at the pool started talking to us and we realised we weren’t alone. Everyone was having a bad experience. There is absolutely no atmosphere. As it’s up for sale hopefully the new owners can turn it around and create a friendly and welcoming spot for families.

Thank you so much for a awesome weekend!!! Was so relaxing, just what I needed. Can I just say how much I loved the atmosphere on the Friday and Saturday nights at the bar. It was so great to see everyone just off their devices and enjoying each other's company whether it was playing the giant Janga or connect four, playing cards at the table or just having an afternoon drink and enjoying the chilled music. Everyone laughing and joking together at times was great. Was a thoughtful touch with a bowl of chips handed out to each group, hommus chips are to die for...yum. Bonus is the toilets for a camp-site are the best I have seen, classy, clean and fresh for a portable loo. Pool area is amazing!! You feel so deeply relaxed here that you cant help but fall asleep on the hammocks or the day bed by the pool. 3 nights just doesnt feel long enough. I had a blast, thank you so very much Sam and Darren. Makes such a difference having hosts so happy, attentive and actually genuinely care. Also Sam was so nice of you to drop off our drinks to the camp-site at the end of the bar closing as we could carry all the drinks we ordered back to camp haha Thank you. It's all the small things you guys do make such a massive impact Can't wait to return asap.
